Trenching in Primghar, IA

Ellingson was engaged on a renewable energy project with MidAmerican Energy and Mortenson Construction, adding trenching capacity on the wind farm project in NW Iowa. By the project end, we tallied 172,000 ft. of installed medium voltage cable between wind turbine and substation. Ellingson fabricate a boot to trench and place phase conductors in a triplex configuration, along with a ground wire, fiber duct and marking tape.
